Marmee was born and raised in Glasgow, Montana and finished high school with honors at Billings Senior High. She received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine (interdisciplinary major Mathematics/Economics with a minor in French, Deans List) in 1990.
From 1990 to 2002 she worked in Paris, France in both corporate and freelance IT (programming, technical documentation and marketing) while establishing a family.
From 2002 to 2007 her husband's career took the family to South Africa where she obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching from the University of Stellenbosch in 2007 and was an active member of the local chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
From 2007 to 2016 another career move took her family to Singapore and she obtained a Master degree (MSS) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Edith Cowen University, Australia in 2010. She became a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist in 2012 and was an active member at the local, regional and global levels of Imago Relationships International (IRI) as well as the local chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Marmee and her family relocated to Billings, Montana in June of 2016 after living abroad for 26 years.
Marmee is familiar with global, multi-cultural lifestyles and the impacts these lifestyles have on couples and families. She is grateful to have lived in so many interesting places and to have developed such a fascinating network of friends and professional colleagues. She is passionate about sharing and teaching others what she learned while living abroad.
Currently Marmee teaches French at Billings Senior High School. She is a partner in the Le Fournil artisan bread shop in Billings, Montana and offers French Language Coaching, Communication Coaching and Counseling for individuals/duo+ and families/teams. She is currently a candidate for professional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) for the State of Montana. She participates in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) within the Billings Public School district and runs the 'Cercle Francophone de Billings' established in May of 2018. She initiated a regional organization of members of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and collaborates with local, professional coaches and therapists.
She is a former, part-time faculty member and current collaborator with Montana State University Billings (MSUB) and a current, fully-licensed French K-12 Teacher for the State of Montana (licensure December 2019).
